Kevin Lee är tillbaka i UFC efter en kort sejour i Eagle FC. Amerikanen håller just nu på att igenom de obligatoriska 6 månaderna av dopingtester och han siktar nu på att möta Tony Ferguson i sommar.
Kevin Lee tror sig möta Tony Ferguson i sommar
Lee siktar på att återvända vid UFC 290 den 8 juli i Las Vegas, Nevada. Han förväntar sig då gå rematch mot den forne interimmästaren Ferguson. Han sade följande till Helen Yee:
It’s looking like we’re gonna do Tony, me and Tony Ferguson. A lot of people are calling for that fight, they wanna see the rematch. I feel like it’s gonna right a whole bunch of wrongs that happened in 2017 and it’s gonna put me right back on the right track. I feel like that’s the fight that people wanna see.
It’s a great fight for Tony, it’s a great fight for me, I think it’s a great fight for the UFC. I think it’s only right that we run it back. We’re gonna do International Fight Week is what I’m hearing.
Lee besegrades av Ferguson i den tredje ronden vid interimtitelmatchen vid UFC 216 i oktober 2017 via triangle choke. Ferguson kom sedan att mista titeln efter att ha skadat sig strax innan titelmatchen mot Khabib Nurmagomedov.
UFC har ännu inte officiellt annonserat några matcher för UFC 290.
