On Saturday August 27, Fight Club Rush returns with a more than stacked card in their first-ever event in Stockholm. The main card opener is a highly anticipated fight between two very popular fighters in Nabbe Malki and Taylan Isik.

The rivals clashed back in 2018 in an amatuer bout that Malki won via split decision, and their long-awaited rematch at FCR 13 will be both fighters’ professional debuts.

In a recent interview with Paul del Valle at MMA Podden, Malki seemed happy about finally turning pro.

“It’s a positive difference. When you fight as an amatuer, it’s not so much fun to have these damn shin guards and thick gloves. I like to fight, I like striking so I think it will be an advantage with the thinner gloves. But of course, at the same time the margins are slimmer both ways. But in my game that is an advantage,” Malki said.

Nabbe Malki: “When it’s a fight it’s a fight”

Even though it is four years since their first fight, the rivalry between Nabbe Malki and Tylan Isik is still very much there.

“When it’s a fight it’s a fight. We can be friends afterwards,” Malki said. “Taylan is very tough and can take a beating, he’s pretty strong mentally. But I know that I’m stronger than him.”

“I feel really good, I’m in the shape of my life and I’m ready to step into the cage and give the fans one hell of a show.”
