Efter ett inlägg på sociala medier har Khamzat Chimaev blivit utmanad till en match av Israels Natan Levy
Khamzat Chimaev – ”Ge mig Israels starkaste man”
Chimaev har vid flera tillfällen tagit ställning i frågor som rör religion och politik. Bland annat gick han till attack mot Rasmus Paludan i samband med en koranbränning. Han har även tagit ställning i konflikten mellan Israel och Palestina.
Via ett inlägg på sociala medier delade han en video från Västbanken och skrev att Israelerna i videon en dag skulle bli fördrivna från området, om Gud vill. Han berättade även att han ville ställas mot Israels starkaste man och bryta sönder personen i fråga.
You are just guests of Palestine, respect them for giving you asylum. One day you will be expelled from Palestine, Inshallah. Give me the strongest man from Israel, I will break him.”
Den fjärde helgen i oktober återvänder Chimaev till buren. Han kommer ställas mot Brasiliens Paulo Costa i samband med UFC 294. Fighten agerar delad huvudmatch för galan och äger rum i Abu Dhabi.
Natan Levy – ”Dina hatfulla kommentarer spär på konflikten”
Levy, som tävlar i UFCs lättviktsdivision, svarade på Chimaevs inlägg. Levy skrev ett längre inlägg där han utmanade fighterns som representerar Allstars i Stockholm. Han skrev att Israel är israelernas hem och att 20% av dess befolkning är muslimer.

Jews and Palestinians have ties to the land, Israel’s population is 20% muslims; most identify as Arab or Palestinian by nationality and Israeli by citizenship, They are equal citizens, are Doctors, Lawyers, Judges, serve in the government and even the military.

Palestinian leadership has declined at least seven offers to split the land between Jews and Arabs in exchange for peace. Israel even withdrew from the Gaza Strip as a peace offering in 2005 but now rockets are launched from there at our homes.
Their leaders would rather keep the people in pain while they hold onto money and power. Palestinian Authority hasn’t held elections in almost two decades. You are a mouthpiece for these corrupt leaders.
Your hateful statements do nothing but intensify the conflict and tear us further apart.
Under sommaren sparrades Levy mot ett internettroll som uttryckt stöd för en politiker med antisemitiska åsikter.
Chimaev är obesegrad i så väl UFC som in sin professionella karriär. Han står med ett totalt matchfacit som lyder 12-0-0. Levys motsvarighet lyder 8-1-0. Israelen har gått 2-1-0 i UFC. En match mellan de båda är dock mer än osannolik med tanke på att utövarna tävlar i vitt skilda viktklasser.
