On January 21, UFC will return to Brazil for the first time in almost three years. The company also just announced that they secured a deal with Band TV and will launch its own UFC Fight Pass streaming service in Brazil.

“Anyone who follows this sport knows how important Brazil is to mixed martial arts and to UFC. Brazil is one of our biggest and fastest growing markets and has produced some of the best athletes this sport has ever seen. Plus, we’re teaming up with Band, one of the biggest broadcasters in Brazil, which is going to provide massive exposure for UFC and help us grow our fan base and make this sport bigger than ever,” UFC president White stateted in a release.
UFC 283 will take place Jeunesse Arena at Rio de Janeiro
The president also revealed that the promotion will return to Rio de Janeiro on January 21. UFC 283 will take place at Jeunesse Arena, an arena that so far held four pay-per-view events. However, no fights were released yet.
“We are finally coming back to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on January 21 for UFC 283. I will see you there everybody,” White said.
