Bellators Michael Page kritiserar UFC för deras hantering av situationen med Francis Ngannou.
Michael ”Venum” Page försvarar Francis Ngannou
Det har nu gått mer än en månad sedan Francis Ngannou lämnade UFC. Efter att ha fullföljt sitt kontrakt fanns det en spänning i luften, kommer han skriva på nytt eller kommer han lämna? Den forne tungviktsmästaren hade långt innan klargjort att det helt skulle bero på UFC och vad dom var villiga att gå med på. Ngannou ville få igenom krav som skulle omfatta alla fighters under kontrakt med UFC, något som White och resterande parter inte gick med på.
Nu i efterhand har Dana White gått ut med att Francis aldrig får komma tillbaka till UFC. Konflikten har blivit mer öppen och infekterad än på länge. En som ställer sig på Ngannous sida i det hela är före detta Bellatormästaren Michael ”Venom” Page. Han gästade nyligen ”Room Service Diaries” där han tog ställning i konflikten.
It’s disappointing, I think things like that just shouldn’t happen… You’re the biggest and best combat champion, because MMA for me is the toughest sport combat-wise, and you’re in the heavyweight division. It’s the division everybody wants to see. Everyone loves seeing two big people fighting. You win a belt and you’re complaining about finances. That stuff shouldn’t even be getting out to the public. That shouldn’t even be a story
Not only did you get to the show, but you got to the highest point of the show. You are the heavyweight champion of the world and you’re complaining about finances. For me, it’s a letdown for everybody I think… There is a lot that needs to be done better and that’s not just UFC, it’s everybody.
Jon Jones häcklar Ngannou
Utöver Dana White så har Jon Jones klivit på tåget, då han själv hade några ord att meddela Ngannou. På presskonferensen efter UFC 285 sparade han inte på krutet.
Francis is a big ol’ p****.
