UFC star Darren Till was supposed to fight Swedish Jack Hermansson on the UFC London event next Saturday. However, Till was recently forced to pull out of the highly anticipated bout.
In an interview with Block Assett, the Liverpool fighter opens up about his career and the fact that he won’t be able to fight in front of his fans in London next week.
“It’s just so frustrating at this point in my career,” Till said. “I’m happy for the way English MMA is going, to see all these up-and-comers, Tom, Paddy, Muhammad, all these guys. I’m so happy to see them in the position they’re in. But it’s so fucking frustrating for me at the same time because I know my potential. I’m not downing anyone, but I’m the fucking best out there and I know that.”
“It’s just so frustrating for me right now. It really is. I’m at a low point.”

Has not yet reached his full potential as a fighter
29-year-old Darren Till hasn’t fought since September last year. A fight he lost via a third-round submission to Derek Brunson in September 2021.
“I don’t want to disrespect Derek in any way, but if I was even 80 percent fighting fit for that fight, he would not got out the first round, I know it,” Till said to Block Asset.
The No. 9 ranked middleweight feels like he has yet to reach his full potential as a fighter.
“I feel like I’m in a Tyson Fury moment. Remember when he was going through that depressed stage? And I feel like that’s where I’m at now. Obviously I’m not drinking and taking drugs, that’s not my way. But I still feel like that.”
