Forne UFC-mästaren Tyron Woodley påstår att Georges St-Pierre nobbade en stor summa pengar för att möta honom.

Tyron Woodley har inte tävlat inom kampsport sedan han förlorade via knockout i den 6:e ronden mot Jake Paul i boxningsringen den 21 december. Sedan detta har Woodley varit tystlåten kring en potentiell comeback. Han visade dock intresse för att möta Paul i dennes PFL-debut tänkt till nästa år.
Woodley säger sig nu dock visat intresse för att fightas mot Georges St-Pierre i sin egna organisation. I en nylig intervju med TMZ Sports annonserade den tidigare UFC-mästaren att han grundar ‘The Realest International Promotion‘. I sin första match i organisationen ville Woodley möta St-Pierre.
Olyckligt nog blev det ingen match. I intervjun berättade Woodley att han erbjudit St-Pierre ett åttasiffrigt belopp i dollar. Legendaren valde dock att nobba detta. Han erbjöd även matchen till Nick Diaz men även denne visade bristande intresse. Woodley kommer nu troligen behöva få leta på annat håll när det kommer till organisationens första event.
Oavsett om det blir en match mot Diaz eller inte så är det tydligt att Woodley har stora planer för nästa år. Det dock långt ifrån säkert vem Woodley möter i sin MMA-comeback:
I control who fights on the card, and I’m looking to fight guys that are legendary to me. That I feel like, maybe didn’t get the respect and the money that they should’ve gotten when they were at the top of the top. Like Georges St-Pierre. I offered him a dumb bag, he said no, ‘I’m not in that world anymore’.”
I offered Nick Diaz a dumb bag, when I say ‘dumb’, I’m talking about pushing the eight figures. A lot of money, to fight me, in the middle east. But, they both said no. Nick didn’t say no, Nick liked the comment, so I don’t know what that means. But you know what I mean, [I want to fight] people that I respect, people that I thought were GOATS. Now that the money is really coming to the sport, I want to go at those people first.”
To try and get them paid with me, because it’s a partnership.” Tyron Woodley stated, regarding the future of his own MMA company. “Whether I like Jake or not, I was a business partner with him for two fights. This is a business.
