Four Swedish MMA fighters have been booked for fights on this weekends upcoming UAE Warriors cards in Abu Dhabi.
UAE Warriors will be putting on three events in three days, starting off with “UAE Warriors 27: Africa” on Friday. There, we’ll get to see two Swedes step into the cage.
Heavyweight Kevin Munje will be making his professional MMA debut against Khaled Jashell. Munje is 8-0 as an amateur and won the Wolf Fight Promotion heavyweight title in his most recent outing. According to Sweden’s official MMA rankings, administered by Frontkick.online, Munje is currently considered to be the pound-for-pound best male amateur MMA fighter in Sweden.
Welterweight Cristopher Bajo will also be competing on the same card as he’s been pitted against Souhil Tahiri in a 168 pounds catchweight contest. Bajo, a former Swedish Muay Thai champion, is 3-1 as a pro with three straight victories and will now make his second appearance in the UAE Warriors cage. Bajo has made a name for himself as one of Sweden’s most active MMA fighters and now returns just one month after his most recent bout.
Saturday’s “UAE Warriors 28: International” card features no Swedish fighters. However, we’ll get to see Hamza Bougamza return to action on the “UAE Warriors 29: Arabia” event on Sunday where he’ll take on Hussein Salem in a featherweight bout. Bougamza has won multiple international Muay Thai titles and is a five-time Swedish champion, who now holds a 3-3 MMA record.
Bantamweight Eli Elias will also fight on the same card on Sunday. He’s currently 0-1 as a pro and will now step into the cage for the first time in almost three years as he takes on Amro Al Falestini.
All three UAE Warriors events take place in Etihad Arena, with livestreams available through UFC Fight Pass.
