Francis Ngannou kommenterar Dana Whites uttalanden om honom och hans splittring med UFC.
Dana White uttalar sig om Francis Ngannou
Efter att Francis Ngannou skrivit på för PFL lyftes återigen dennes konflikt med Dana White till ytan. Efter den initiala irritation efter att Ngannou sagt nej till ett nytt kontrakt med UFC tonades ner under de följande månaderna. White gick ut med att han aldrig vill ha med tungviktaren att göra igen.
När Ngannous flytt till PFL gjorts officiell tog White återigen upp stridsyxan. Bland annat förbluffades han över PFL och deras tankegång bakom kontraktet. Dessutom menade han att Ngannou tog noll risker under sin tid i UFC samt att han var rädd för Jon Jones.
You’re going to pay a guy not to fight for a year, and it’s already been like [14] months. He’s fought three times in the last three years. It’s just not what we do here. It’s not what we do. And the day that we released him, I knew exactly what was going to happen.
Francis wants to take zero risks, doesn’t want to take any chances, and he obviously didn’t want to take a chance with Jon Jones — and after we saw what happened with Ciryl Gane, I don’t blame him. I think the outcome would’ve been exactly the same, and I’m sure most of you do and I’m sure Francis does too.

Ngannou har hittils haft en relativt mild attityd gentemot White. Tidigare denna månaden förklarade han att det inte finns något agg mot UFC hos honom. Han ville bara göra det som var bäst för honom, men ville vara tydlig med att det är rent affärsmässigt. Utöver det finns det för honom ingen anledning till personligt groll.
Men efter Whites senaste påståenden verkar det som att Ngannou fått nog. På sin Twitter adresserade han samtliga av Whites påståenden med att ge sin bild av händelserna.
Till att han skulle ha blivit släppt av UFC, som White sa, påpekar han att kontraktet med UFC var avklarat och att han efter det valde att lämna.

Vidare påstår han att UFC försökte frysa ut honom och att det därför blev så få matcher.
