Eugene Bareman, huvudtränare till Israel Adesanya tror att en match mot UFC:s lätt-tungviktsmästare Jamahal Hill är rimlig som nästa fight.
Tränaren vill se Israel Adesanya möta Jamahal Hill
Vid huvudmatchen under helgens UFC 287 återerövrade Adesanya sin mellanviktstitel med en knockout i andra ronden mot ärkerivalen Alex Pereira. Efter matchen sade Adesanya att han han var klar med Pereira och att han nu vill möta en ny motståndare. Hans tränare Bareman håller med om detta.
Även om Adesanya kollar på mellanviktsutmanare så vill Bareman att adepten tar sig an den nye lätt-tungviktsmästaren Jamahal Hill. Adesanya flyttade som bekant upp till lätt-tungvikt för att utmana Jan Blachowicz där han förlorade via enhälligt domslut. Bareman är nu hoppfull om att Adesanya ska bli dubbelmästare vid sitt andra försök.
Bareman sade följande i Submission Radio:
At light heavyweight? Let’s do it, let’s do it… Every fighter that you fight with flaws, and it’s up to the opponent and the team to take advantage of them. Jamahal Hill, I’m not being disrespectful, I haven’t seen him fight yet, I don’t think. But I don’t watch the fights, I just watch my guys fight. I don’t watch UFC fights. I watch my guys fight generally and that’s it.
I’m sure he’s a very tough champ. If you’re a world champion, you’re the best of the best. I’m sure he’s a very tough fight. I’ve seen him at the after party, I’m sure he’s a nice fella. But it’s not about that, it’s about challenges, mate. When you get to this level it’s about challenges. Let’s do it. Get it done, get it done, boys.
