Sedan Francis Ngannou släpptes av UFC har den tidigare tungviktsmästaren berättat att han vill gå en boxningsmatch härnäst.

Ngannous första intervju efter att han släpptes av UFC ägde rum under ett specialavsnitt av The MMA Hour. Ngannou berättade för MMA-journalisten Ariel Helwani att han vill möte någon av de tre boxningsstjärnorna Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua eller Deontay Wilder i sin boxningsdebut.
Under en intervju med Radio Rahim delade Fury med sig av sina tankar om en match mot Ngannou. Sedan tidigare har det spekulerats om en boxningsmatch med modifierade regler. En fight som Fury verkar intresserad av. Engelsmannen kan nämligen tänka sig en boxningsmatch i bur med tunna handskar. Tyson föreslog även Mike Tyson som domare i en potentiell match. Ngannou har för avsikt att tävla både inom boxning och MMA i framtiden.
Tyson Fury förväntad mota Oleksandr Usyk härnäst
Fury förväntas dock ställas mot den obesegrade stjärnan Oleksandr Usyk (20-0-0) i sin nästa match.
If the contract doesn’t get signed with Usyk next for the fight of the century in boxing then we’ll do the Ngannou fight. Whether it’s going to be in Las Vegas or Wembley [Stadium], who will know — we will know quote soon I think. Because if these fellas don’t start coming up and signing the contract for the fight of the century then we’re moving on to greener pastures. At the moment, everything seems to be going really, really well, but again there’s no pen to paper. We haven’t got a date or a site. These things take time and I’m not really getting involved. Frank Warren and the lawyer Robert, they’re going to sort it all out so we’ll see what happens.
