After Amanda Nunes won back her bantamweight belt at UFC 277, a third fight between the Brazilian double champion and flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko seems like the fight to make.
Since Nunes already has two wins over rival Shevchenko at 135-pounds, UFC Hall of Famer and expert Michael Bisping wants the fight to happen under special circumstances.
“I talked about this a while ago on the channel, I would love to see Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko at 130 pounds, for a female BMF title,” Bisping said on his YouTube channel. “They did it for the guys and what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Let’s have a female BMF. Valentina comes up to 130, Nunes comes down to 130, if she can, and that would be the big thing: if she can.”

Amanda Nunes has two close decision wins
Amanda Nunes has two close decision wins over Valentina Shevchenko at bantamweight. In their first three-round fight, in March 2016, the Brazilian won via unanimous decision (29–28, 29–27, 29–27). In September 2017 the rivals met in a five-round fight, and Nunes once again stood as the winner, this time via split decision (47–48, 48–47, 48–47).
After their second bout, Shevchenko dropped down to flyweight, where she defeated every single opponent the organization put in front of her.
