UFC is officially coming to Paris for the very first time.
The promotion just announced their first-ever event in France set to take place in the capital city at the Accor Arena on September 3.
According to UFC president Dana White, the promotion has been working on coming to France for almost ten years. This fall, it’s finally happening.
“We’ve been working on getting into France for nearly a decade and WE’RE COMING!!! I’m so excited to hold our first event in Paris this September. It will be an unbelievable night of fights and an epic historic event for the athletes and fans,” White said (via ufc.com).

UFC Paris: here’s the fight card so far
So what do we know about the fights at UFC Paris so far?
According to reports, former UFC interim champ Ciryl Gane is set to take on Tai Tuivasa, who’s on a five-fight knockout streak, in the main event. Gane just fought for the heavyweight title, losing a narrow decision to champ Francis Ngannou,
Also according to MMA Fighting, a middleweight showdown between former champ Robert Whittaker and former title challenger Marvin Vettori is being targeted for the event, although nothing has been signed yet.
Additionally, France has produced more than a couple of talented fighters lately. Nice-born Manon Fiorot has made a name for herself in the UFC, raking in four straight victories since her promotional debut in January last year. “The Beast” will also surely be hoping for a fight in her home country come September 3.
